Welcome to Dimanche, New Liaison Expert in Chad

Dimanche Mbaiadoum joined the Sahel Alliance Coordination Unit, and has been working as liaison expert in Chad since July.

Dimanche holds a degree in Social and Human Sciences, a Masters in Organisational Management and a certificate in Financial Management. With 12 years’ professional experience in development communication, local development planning and project monitoring and evaluation, he previously worked with international organisations such as Action Contre la Faim (ACF), World Vision International, Oxfam Intermón and CARE International.

Dimanche has been in charge of planning and monitoring-evaluation for the Livelihood Improvement Project in Western Chad (PAMELOT), implemented by GIZ, for several years. He is well aware of the key areas of the Sahel Alliance’s work:  he was responsible for implementing the Integrated Territorial Approach in the province of Kanem and Barh-El-Gazel, and is involved in coordinating partner activities in this area. In this capacity, he facilitated the regular exchange of information between national stakeholders and he reports regularly to development partners.

What led him to join the Sahel Alliance coordination team? He explains the reasons behind his choice: “Joining the Alliance Sahel team is the perfect opportunity for me to achieve what I started with the local authorities in Kanem and Barh-El-Gazel province. I am enthusiastic about implementing new tools and working methods. By accepting this position, I set myself a challenge and I must do everything in my power to succeed! It is a pleasure to work with a dedicated and committed team.”
