Giuseppe’s motivation to work for the Sahel Alliance comes from his deep conviction that the Sahel is a region rich in potential, but facing complex challenges that require a coordinated and collaborative approach.

He wishes to bring his expertise in development, capacity building and monitoring and evaluation to support the Sahel Alliance’s efforts to support its members and partners.

Giuseppe is convinced of the importance of monitoring and evaluating projects: “I believe that monitoring and evaluating projects is crucial to improving the living conditions of people in the Sahel in the long term. By collecting accurate data and regularly assessing the progress and impact of our actions, we can ensure that they meet people’s real needs and contribute to their long-term well-being.”

Giuseppe adds: “Monitoring and evaluation enables us to identify challenges and obstacles, which in turn enables us to adjust strategies and interventions, thus promoting a more flexible and innovative approach. It also encourages Sahel Alliance partners to be mutually accountable for shared objectives, thus strengthening coordination and collaboration between the various stakeholders.

With a solid background in development and international cooperation, his professional experience includes years of involvement in organisations and projects aimed at promoting sustainable development and community empowerment. He worked in particular in fragile and conflict-affected contexts, as an expert in monitoring and evaluation and in knowledge management.

Recently, at Particip GmbH, he worked on a technical assistance project for the European Union, aimed at implementing an external monitoring system to strengthen the practice of results-based management in external action operations.

A graduate of the University of Naples (Italy) with a Master’s degree in International Relations and Asian and African Institutions, Giuseppe completed his course with studies and workshops focusing on intercultural mediation and monitoring methodologies.

Giuseppe is available to provide technical support to Sahel Alliance members for the various monitoring and evaluation exercises (portfolio data collection, ATI database, etc.). Please do not hesitate to contact him.

Welcome Giuseppe!
