Dr Djimé Adoum, Tireless Defender of the Sahelian Cause, Has Passed Away

With the news of the passing of Dr Djimé Adoum on 16 December, I would like, on behalf of the Sahel Alliance, to express our deep sorrow and our most sincere condolences to his wife, his family and the entire Sahel Coalition community.

A relentless and tireless defender of the Sahelian cause, his actions in the course of the high offices he has held have been decisive both for the Sahel and for his country, Chad. Today, his unwavering commitment, the way he always listened, his desire to bring people together and the dynamism that never left him are a huge loss.
